Scale and life for your drawings. An image model draws the figure or tree, and Alien traces it into clean outlines, fills and hatches at true size.

Scale figure

scale_figure A person as a true-height silhouette for elevations and sections. Say who (“a woman pushing a pram”) and from which side. Cost: About US$0.034 per drawing; free from the cache.

Inputs

Outputs

  • Only the generate button calls the image model: a new who, view or variant waits for it; drawings made before come back free. Height, detail, smooth and plane only re-trace or re-place the drawing.
  • Tracing: marching squares with sub-pixel edges, small islands and gaps dropped by detail, Douglas-Peucker simplification, smooth closed curves with a polyline fallback.
  • A blank, cut-off or non-white drawing is redrawn once with a stricter prompt, only while Generate runs; the check uses a fixed detail so the detail slider never causes a redraw.
  • Stands in the XZ plane at the origin (Front view) unless a plane is wired.
  • Drawings are cached in <repo>/.alien/cache/graphics and saved to the asset library.

Scale tree

scale_tree A tree silhouette at true size, in elevation or plan, with the gaps in its canopy kept. Cost: About US$0.034 per drawing; free from the cache.

Inputs

Outputs

  • Only the generate button calls the image model: a new species, view or variant waits for it.
  • Elevation: sized by height, standing in XZ. Plan: sized by spread (0 = 0.75 x height), lying in XY.
  • Same tracing, checks, cache and asset saving as scale_figure; a detailed tree (183 loops) solves in 0.6 s.
