# Changelog

> What's new in each beta.

<Update label="Next beta" description="Built, not yet in a download">
  **The panel**

  * **Project agent:** a chat that sees your whole canvas and remembers each project. It searches the library first, places and wires components, describes new ones, checks its work in the viewport, and never presses Generate unless you ask. Everything it changes can be undone.
  * **Start here:** the library opens on the base components: blank, 3D object, 2D object, symbol, material, display mode, views, layout and exploded axo.
  * **Objects** (was *Generated*) adds 2D objects, symbols, display modes and building types saved with a type component's **Save** button.

  **Components and canvas**

  * **Select in Rhino:** pick geometry for an unwired input straight from the viewport. The component follows the objects when they move or change.
  * Every ready-made component gets its own button on the **Alien** tab: Create, Site, Building, Views, Entourage and Data.
  * New components: slab types, slabs, roof types, roofs, stair types, stairs, balustrade types, balustrades, section profile, 2D object, symbol, display mode, views, layout and exploded axo. Wall types, doors and windows gain **Save** buttons.
  * Agent changes made through `add`, `wire`, `delete` and `set_values` can be undone.
</Update>

<Update label="0.02-alpha" description="14 October 2026">
  **Install and first run**

  * One-click installers: `Setup.exe` for Windows (per user, no admin rights, optional key page, uninstaller, can start Rhino for you; not yet run on a Windows PC) and a `.pkg` for macOS (current user only, no password).
  * Both are unsigned for now, so each system asks once.

  **The panel**

  * **Help (?):** connect OpenRouter step by step, link your key, and see your credit, the key's limit and its expiry.
  * **Themes (⚙):** 12 presets or your own colours, followed by components, the canvas text box and the panel.
  * **Build on a selection:** select components, describe one that uses them, and it's placed beside them, already wired.

  **Components**

  * The building suite: site base, levels, grids, wall types, walls, doors, windows, curtain walls, beams and columns, structure edit and connectors.
  * Text fields grow as you type and keep what you typed when you click away.

  **Fixes**

  * Inputs named `type`, `list` or `set` no longer break a component.
  * Alien tells the model your document's units, so "5 m" in a millimetre model is 5,000 mm.
</Update>

<Update label="0.01-alpha" description="13 October 2026">
  * The Alien component: script name, PY / C# badge, its state, and the error printed on the component.
  * Controls built from the header: sliders, switches, dropdowns, text fields, Generate buttons, image drop and address suggestions.
  * Describe a component in the panel: a model writes it, runs it and fixes its own errors.
  * The library, sorted into categories, and the generated objects.
  * Ready-made components: site map, site views, 3D object, material, scale figure, scale tree, levels and branch picker.
  * Only Generate buttons spend credit.
  * A local MCP server for Claude Code and other agents.
